Reporting an Absence

If your child is ill, you should telephone the school before 9:00a.m.

If you are calling outside of school hours, you will be able to leave a message that will be picked up by the Attendance Officer.

When your child returns to school, can you please send a note explaining the reason for the absence.

Why Attendance Matters

One day off school per year means your child's attendance is about 99.5%.
Ten days off per school year means your child's attendance is about 95%.
Twenty days off per school year means your child's attendance is about 90%.
90% attendance means 4 whole weeks off school per year.
90% attendance in Years 7-11 means half a year off school.
17 days off school every year means that you will probably obtain a whole grade lower in your exams than you are capable of.
