Welsh in Education Strategic Plan for Carmarthenshire 2017 - 2020

This Plan explains how Carmarthenshire aims to achieve the Welsh Government’s outcomes outlined in their Welsh-Medium Education Strategy.

Alun Davies AM, Minister for Lifelong Learning and Welsh Language, has responded to Carmarthenshire County Council’s draft Welsh in Education Strategic Plan 2017-2020.

A small number of amendments have been requested, which are to be included in an amended plan.

These amendments have been included and shown as highlighted text.  We wish to seek the views of residents and stakeholders on the amendments.

*Please note that the substantive document was consulted upon last year and was endorsed via the County Council’s statutory process, and stress that we are seeking additional comments on the revisions only.

We welcome a response from you as a school, parents and governors, and appreciate that the timescale for response is short.  We ask for your co-operation in informing stakeholders by whatever means possible including the school website, Facebook page /school Twitter account etc.

The plan can be viewed through this link on Carmarthenshire County Council’s website-
